Make your Pool shine—great People, Great Products, Great Service.

Barons and Buttons was founded by Andrew and Valerie Washington, who were NOT raised in the pool community. They are just an everyday family who got tired of paying a premium for poor service.

Military veterans (Navy & Air Force), Andrew and Val own and operate multiple companies using a simple philosophy: First, hire good-hearted people. And then the rest is easy - Train them, take care of them, and let them take care of customers.

Why Barons and Buttons?

The name Barons and Buttons was inspired by young adults. Andrew and Val's children attend Saint Mary's Hall (Barons) and Central Catholic High School (Buttons), and the students at both institutions embody Core Values adopted by the company. In fact, most of our staff are students or alumni from one of those schools (Sorry Antonian & TMI!).

We are most proud of what sets us apart the most, our People. But our next advantage? Our tech.

Why? Because when you have great people but don't give them great tools, you get great people wasting time struggling to produce mediocre results.

We spare no expense on our equipment. Here are some key elements that we bring to your door:

  • Our equipment is standalone. We bring our own filters, our own pumps, even our own power supply.

  • We don't take analog readings of your water chemistry. Our readings are digital and shared with you every week.

  • We utilize large debris leaf skimmers as well as ultra fine silt nets with aluminum frames to capture as much sediment as possible.

  • Every truck is equipped with an underwater camera capable of photo and video capture.

  • Besides our hand vacs, we carry suction side and pressure side robots to every jobsite, as well as a robot vac. There is nothing our team is not prepared to handle!

How often is the service?

Bottom line, our first priority is to get your pool safe and beautiful. Our technicians will be on site every day until your pool is safe and ready for swimming, regardless of your package. After that, we offer weekly and twice weekly service, not including a complementary on-demand service monthly to help get your pool looking great before hosting a party! 

What does the post-visit report include?

After every visit, a detailed report is uploaded to your account covering water chemistry, completed maintenance tasks, and equipment status.

Our technicians use the LaMotte WaterLink Spin Touch to test for Free Chlorine, Total Chlorine, Bromine, pH, Calcium Hardness, Total Alkalinity, Cyanuric Acid, Copper, Iron, and Salt.

Historical reports also reflect the health of your pool over time, accessible to you 24/7.

Are chemical costs included in the service charge?

Yes! Depending on the state of your pool, there may be an upfront cost if extensive testing and chemicals are required to bring it a safe state. However, this is the exception, not the norm, and we will be transparent from start to finish.

How long does it take to fix my pool?

It depends on your pool, the aggravating problems, and the surrounding environment. Some pools take 24 hours to clear up, some take two weeks. We value communication and transparency, so what we can guarantee is an initial estimate, a daily visit (sometimes multiple times a day), and consistent reporting and updates until we get your pool where it's supposed to be.
